Narayan is a problem-solver with over two decades of experience in a wide variety of fields. He combines an uncommon depth of knowledge of quantitative methods with a vast repertoire of business, technology, and management skills, and the ability to think from first principles. He has applied these with great success to a broad range of challenging and commercially-significant problems.

He founded Dot 3^rd Eye in 2005 to serve as the vehicle for his one-man consulting practice. Although 3^rd Eye is based in Dallas, TX, it enjoys a global client base and the support of worldwide partners and allies.

Prior to founding Dot 3^rd Eye, Narayan was a Fellow at i2 Technologies where he tackled supply chain management problems in areas as diverse as computer assembly, semiconductor manufacturing, consumer goods, steel, and automotive. Prior to that, he worked at American Airlines Decision Technologies (later The Sabre Group), developing solutions for aircraft and crew scheduling problems.

Narayan’s educational record is rich and diverse. He graduated from IIT-Bombay with a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering. He followed that up with a Masters in Business from the highly prestigious Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad. Finally, he topped that off with a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
